DIY MID-CENTURY NIGHTSTAND

Our simple distilled into mid-century style bed it is less than a four-piece frame complete with a plywood back and some slender legs. The screws are cleverly hidden on the inside and bottom of the box to allow the uninterrupted surface to complement the clean lines of the design. Steps DIY CENTURY NIGHTSTAND

1. Cut Pieces

Use a square frame, measuring and marking the first cut listed above on a 1 × 18-inch panel. Use a circular saw, cut the road. Repeat until all four plates being cut to size. Blowing sand pieces in preparation for assembly.

TIP: Get straight cut with a saw used to cut our DIY fence.

2. Prep Sides

Mark a long edge of each sheet edge Side as "top". Use a drill / driver and a pocket hole mold, creating pockets of equidistant holes along each edge.

3. Prepare base

Use a ruler or square frame, draw a line ¾ inch from each end of the bottom panel. Inside this line, drill a pilot hole in a uniform way on each end. If you do not have a pilot drill bit for simply by using a drill bit size thinner than the thickness of the wood screws.

4. Position Pieces

Flip Top Panel face. Apply wood glue to the top edge of a Side Panel, and then stand it upright on the Top Panel, flush with its end face with the bag into the hole. Use a speed square, creating a square and then clamped joint a block to the pads to keep them in place.

5. Attach Top Sides

Use a drill / driver, driver 1 ¼ inch pocket hole screws through the holes in the bag and into the Top Panel Side Panel. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to attach side panel Monday.

6. Install Base

Apply wood glue to the bottom edge exposure of each Side Panel. Place the original Panel on the Side Panels. Using the square block joints, clamping piece in place. Now driving 1 ¼ inch wood screws through the holes in the table below and the pilot on each Side Panel.

7. Add Sheet Mounting foot

At each corner of the bottom panel, measuring a 1 ½ inch mark a line from each side. Set Tile Top inside the lines. Shallow hole drilling pilot holes in each mount, and then secured Top panels using screws.

8. Amendment Legs

While it is not necessary, we remove the pins at the base of the foot. To do so, lift the pieces can be adjusted freely using pliers. If a jagged edges still, it can be limited to a small round felt pad.

9. Add Chan

Rotate the threaded rod on each foot on a top plate to secure them in place.

10. Guaranteed Return

Place ¼ inch plywood backing opposite the working surface. Lay back edge of the board into plywood, flush with the sides. Mark the other two sides. Use a circular saw, cut the plywood size. Now flip the assembly on its face, and put plywood face in assembly, flush with the outside edge of it. Using a hammer, drive nails ¾ inch end through the plywood and into the back edge of the board to keep the spot Panel.
